What data deept.rip and Deep Trip instruments process, why, and what you can do about it.

Last updated: 2026-10-17

1. Who is responsible

Pattern Void LLC (identification number 445864583), Zhiuli Shartava Avenue, Block B, Floor 36, Apartment 896, Batumi, Georgia, is the controller of the personal data described here. Deep Trip is our brand. Contact for anything about your data: info@deept.rip.

This policy covers the website deept.rip, the waiting list, the purchase of licences and the Deep Trip software.

2. The short version

Your audio never leaves your computer. We hold the minimum we need to send you a download link, deliver and check your licence, take payment and keep tax records. We do not sell data, we do not run ads, and the website has no analytics or advertising trackers. Deep Trip instruments offer optional usage and performance reports, switched off by default.

3. Waiting list

When you leave your email on deept.rip we store the email address, the date you signed up, that you agreed to be contacted, the IP address, browser user agent, language and referring page of the sign-up request, and any campaign tags in the link you came from (utm source, medium and campaign). We use it to send you the download link and to tell you when a new build ships. Legal basis: your consent. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link; unsubscribing stops all mailings.

We also log the download links we send and each time one is used (with IP address and user agent), so we can see that a link worked and stop abuse.

4. Trial and licence

When you start a trial or buy and activate a key we process:

  • your email address and your licence key;
  • a machine identifier: a one-way hash of your computer’s hardware identifier, so we can count activations without learning the identifier itself;
  • the machine name you give the computer in the Activate window, so you can tell your computers apart;
  • timestamps of activation, deactivation and the periodic licence checks (about every 7 days);
  • IP addresses, which our servers record in their logs when the software or website contacts them.

Legal basis: performance of the contract (delivering and enforcing the licence you bought or the trial you asked for), and our legitimate interest in preventing key sharing and fraud.

5. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe through the Stripe account of Ravens FZE LLC in the United Arab Emirates, which receives payments for Deep Trip purchases. Pattern Void LLC is the seller and software licensor. Your card or other payment details are entered on Stripe’s checkout page and handled by Stripe; we never see or store your full card details. Stripe processes your data under its own privacy policy (stripe.com/privacy). Ravens FZE LLC has access to the payment and billing records in its Stripe account for payment handling, refunds and accounting.

From Stripe we keep the checkout session and payment identifiers, the amount, currency, the tax charged and your billing country, which we need for accounting, tax and refunds. Legal basis: performance of the contract and our legal obligations under tax law.

6. Email

Emails (download links, licence keys, release links) are sent from our own mail server under the deept.rip domain, not through a third-party mailing service. Your mail provider will of course see the messages it receives.

7. What the software sends

All analysis and synthesis run on your computer. Deep Trip instruments never upload your audio, video or projects. They contact the internet only to:

  • activate a key, start the trial and refresh the licence (our server, deept.rip);
  • download their models from Hugging Face the first time they are needed, where an instrument uses them. Hugging Face sees your IP address and the files requested, under its own privacy policy;
  • look up lyrics on lrclib.net, where an instrument offers that feature and you use it, sending the artist and title of the track. lrclib.net sees your IP address and that request.

If you enable Share usage & performance in an updated Deep Trip instrument, it sends an initial report after about 90 seconds and then approximately every 15 minutes while the instance remains loaded, with a best-effort report when it closes. Collection continues while audio is processed, even when the interface is closed. It is off by default and the expanded collection requires a new opt-in, including if an older Visions reporting option was enabled. Reports contain the product, version and format; a random session identifier; loaded, active, audio, editor, focus and recent interaction durations; second-level activity masks used to avoid double-counting simultaneous instances; counts of interactions, MIDI events, preset/parameter changes and selected features; DAW type, sample rate, block size and channel counts; aggregated audio processing time and blocks exceeding their timing budget; process CPU and memory samples, system GPU samples, thermal and low-power state; interface frame timings and anonymous error counts; and Mac model, CPU/GPU model, operating system, architecture and memory size. Visions additionally reports favorite scene IDs, the favorites-only setting, aggregated scene frame timings, quality and reaction settings and approximate render resolution. CPU and memory describe the host application/DAW process; GPU measurements describe the whole device. Reports are linked to your existing licence activation and account. They contain no audio, video, track names, filenames, projects, computer name, MIDI notes/velocities, parameter values, key presses, pointer coordinates, error text, licence keys or advertising identifiers. An authentication token is used only to authorize the request and is not stored with the report. Legal basis: your consent. Disable the setting at any time to stop collection and queued future reports; contact us to delete previously received reports. Pending reports are held in memory with bounded capacity and retries; a forced exit or long offline period can lose unsent data. This is our own reporting endpoint, with no advertising or third-party analytics SDK.

8. The website

deept.rip uses no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking cookies. Our web server records standard request logs (IP address, time, page, browser) for security and to keep the service running.

9. Who we share data with

We do not sell or rent personal data. It is shared only with:

  • Stripe, as payment processor;
  • Ravens FZE LLC in the United Arab Emirates, which receives payments through its Stripe account and can access the payment and billing records in that account;
  • our hosting provider, whose servers in Germany (Hetzner) store the data;
  • authorities, where the law requires it.

Hugging Face and lrclib.net receive requests directly from your computer as described above; we do not send them your data.

10. International transfers

We are based in Georgia and our servers are in the EU. Payment and billing records are also accessible to Ravens FZE LLC in the United Arab Emirates through its Stripe account. Stripe and Hugging Face may process data in the United States and other countries, under their own safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

11. How long we keep data

  • Waiting list: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
  • Licence records (email, key, machine hashes and names, activation times): for as long as the licence exists, and then as long as needed for the tax-record period below.
  • Payment and transaction records: as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Optional product usage and performance reports and the latest device/favorites snapshot: up to 90 days, with expired records removed during hourly cleanup. Disabling reports stops future collection; contact us to delete existing records sooner.
  • Server logs: rotated under our server retention settings and kept only as needed for security and troubleshooting.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or UK GDPR) you have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its use, receive it in a portable format, and withdraw consent at any time. Some data, such as transaction records, we must keep for legal reasons even if you ask us to delete it; deleting licence data also ends the licence on your computers.

To use any of these rights, email info@deept.rip from the address concerned. We answer within one month. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

13. Children

deept.rip and Deep Trip instruments are not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

14. Changes

If we change this policy we update the date at the top and, for material changes, tell people on the list or with a licence by email.

15. Governing law and contact

This policy is governed by the laws of Georgia, without limiting rights you have under the data-protection law of your own country. Contact: Pattern Void LLC, Zhiuli Shartava Avenue, Block B, Floor 36, Apartment 896, Batumi, Georgia, info@deept.rip.
